A lengthsperson has been contracted to mow the grass verges in the village of Wetton and keep roadsides tidy. Some of the funding for this work is provided by the Staffordshire Moorlands District Council, some is provided by donation from the Chatsworth Estate and some comes from the precept ( a sum collected as part of residents Council Tax ). When the scheme was initiated, some years ago, the Staffordshire County Council and the Peak National Park Authority also agreed to contribute but have since withdrawn funding from the scheme.

Approximately 100 hours of work per annum has been budgeted, along with fuel and consumable expenses.
